- 2 =32.2. Competencies expected: Senior Wings certification standards and for this task, the pilot will demonstrate effective pinnacle, ridgeline / shoulder and confined area operations and
- 2.1 32.2.1. on reconnaissance:
- 2.2 32.2.1.1. establish a desired altitude ±100 feet=
- 2.3 32.2.1.2. establish a desired airspeed, ±10 KIAS=
- 2.4 32.2.1.3. properly perform a continuous reconnaissance=
- 2.5 32.2.2. on approach:
- 2.5.1 32.2.2.1. maintain ground track alignment with the selected approach path with minimum drift
- 2.5.2 32.2.2.2. maintain a constant approach angle
- 2.5.3 32.2.2.3. maintain an appropriate rate of closure
- 2.5.4 32.2.2.4. executing a smooth, controlled termination in the forward, usable one-third of the landing area
- 2.6 32.2.3. on takeoff;
- 2.7 32.3. be familiar with all mountain terrain operational considerations
