32. TASK 2125: Perform pinnacle and ridge line operations

32.1. Objective: The pilot will develop the knowledge and skills necessary to perform pinnacle and ridge line operations as per task 2125 UH-1h ATM 2007

=32.2. Competencies expected: Senior Wings certification standards and for this task, the pilot will demonstrate effective pinnacle, ridgeline / shoulder and confined area operations and

32.2.1. on reconnaissance:
32.2.1.1. establish a desired altitude ±100 feet=
32.2.1.2. establish a desired airspeed, ±10 KIAS=
32.2.1.3. properly perform a continuous reconnaissance=
32.2.2. on approach:
32.2.2.1. maintain ground track alignment with the selected approach path with minimum drift
32.2.2.2. maintain a constant approach angle
32.2.2.3. maintain an appropriate rate of closure
32.2.2.4. executing a smooth, controlled termination in the forward, usable one-third of the landing area
32.2.3. on takeoff;
32.2.3.1. perform a hover power check, if required, and complete a before-takeoff check without error
32.2.3.2. perform an airspeed-over-altitude takeoff while maintaining heading ±10 degrees.
