Master Wings requirement: TASK 2054 - PERFORM FAST ROPE INSERTION AND EXTRACTION OPERATIONS

- 1 28. TASK 2054: Perform fast rope insertion and extraction operations
- 1.1 28.1. Objective: The pilot will develop the knowledge and skills necessary to perform fast rope insertion and extraction operations as per task 2054 UH-1h ATM 2007
- 1.2 28.2. Competencies expected: Senior Wings certification standards and for this task the pilot will demonstrate
- 1.2.1 28.2.1. maintaining entry altitude as directed ±10 feet
- 1.2.2 28.2.2. maintaining an entry airspeed of 80 KIAS, ±5 KIAS
- 1.2.3 28.2.3. maintaining a track aligned with landing direction
- 1.2.4 28.2.4. performing a smooth, controlled termination to a hover over the insertion point
- 1.2.5 28.2.5. a deceleration attitude not exceeding 30 degrees
- 1.2.6 28.2.6. Maintaining an appropriate hover height ±5 feet (not to exceed rope height).
